Missions
Around Manukau, around the world…
Telling others and showing
them the love of Jesus needs to happen in our own back yard, throughout
New Zealand and around the globe!
Locally, we have an Evangelism co-ordinator Intern and various activities
enabling us to take the good news of Jesus to our community. We also work
closely with Adventures in Missions, Papatoetoe Adolescent Christian Trust,
local schools and churches and other organizations in our community. We
also encourage individual responsibility to achieve our corporate goal
of Reaching People!
Nationally, we are involved with the Baptist movement, Caleb Ministries,
Christian Fellowship for the Disabled, Bible Society, providing youth
curriculum and Easter Camp leadership.
Internationally, we have a number of missionaries from our church around
the globe in places such as Thailand, Japan and Indonesia. There are also
individual missions we support in Africa and other places. We also encourage
our people to do a short term mission – if you haven’t done one yet, we
say: “Why Not?!”
Mission matters. It matters to God. It matters to us as a church. We hope
it matters to you.
